In addition to an already large number of reports, TÜV Rhineland has also drawn up a
report on the functionality and effectiveness of the CENTRIFOEL® system.

Bavaria's State Institute of Commerce has tested the structural engineering of the CENTRIFOEL®
system and has confirmed its suitability for use up to SWL 60 without reservation. The self-activating seal
fitting at the outlet of the CENTRIFOEL® drain water inlet has also been tested in accordance with the
specified figures for leakage rates and confirmed as satisfactory.

Extensive analysis of the system's effectiveness in retaining hydrocarbons, heavy metals and substances capable
of being filtered confirms the excellent levels of effectiveness achieved by CENTRIFOEL® road drainage gullies.

An expert statement in summary
The CENTRIFOEL® road drainage gully is a special road gully fitted with a frame grating which has a significant
effect in cleaning the surface water flowing through it of road- and surface-specific pollutants by the retention of both
dry and wet sludge and light fluids. This has been confirmed through a series of examinations using hydrocarbons as well
as an additional examination using those heavy metals and substances capable of being filtered found specifically on roads.
In contrast to conventional road gullies, the cleaning effect of which is only slight, the system's effectiveness in retaining
the substances contained in surface water is quite considerably greater. In reference to the ATV leaflet, M 153 (ATV, 1999)
presented in the draft, a through-feed value of 0.65 seems justifiable.
In comparison to conventional road drainage gullies, a considerably improved level of water protection can be achieved using
CENTRIFOEL® drainage gullies. Required surface water treatment can, under certain conditions, be effected using
these gullies alone.
